Department of Architectural Conservation
About the Department
The Department of Architectural Conservation was established in 1986 and was the first post graduate programme in India to offer a degree in Architectural Conservation. Over the years it has had a pan India presence, reflected in the representation of students from all over India, who have gone on to make significant contributions towards shaping the conservation profession.
The course curriculum has since evolved to take into account the changing realities of heritage conservation in India and the world. The programme is in consonance with the international guidelines for training of conservation professionals.
